Mr JR Veerman will become a member of the Joint Court of Justice. The Kingdom Council of Ministers has approved the nomination for appointment on the proposal of Minister Weerwind for Legal Protection, also on behalf of his colleagues from Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten. Veerman is a judge at the Gelderland District Court.

In addition to becoming a member of the Joint Court of Justice, Mr. GAFM Wouters will also become the new vice-president of the Joint Court and will therefore have the Sint Maarten branch in his portfolio as director. He is currently working as a judge at the Rotterdam District Court. Before that he was, among other things, examining magistrate and vice-president at the Dordrecht District Court.

The Kingdom Council of Ministers has also approved the appointment of Mrs. M. Wolfrat as a deputy member of the Joint Court of Justice. She is now a counselor at the Central Appeals Board. The appointments will take effect on September 1, 2022.
