Mrs. M. (Mascha) Schoneveld is appointed president of the Trade Appeals Board (CBb). The Council of Ministers approved the nomination at the proposal of State Secretary Van Bruggen of Justice and Security. The appointment will take effect on July 1, 2026.

Schoneveld is currently already a judicial board member at the CBb. She is also a state councilor in extraordinary service at the Administrative Jurisdiction Division of the Council of State and deputy judge at the Central Appeals Council (CRvB). In the past she was a judge at the Rotterdam District Court and a counselor at the CRvB. Schoneveld follows Mr. mr. drs. TGM (Theo) Simons as president.

The Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal is one of the four highest administrative courts in the Netherlands, together with the Supreme Court, the Administrative Jurisdiction Division of the Council of State and the Central Appeals Tribunal. The CBb is the highest court in the Netherlands in the field of economic administrative law. The CBb is both the court of first instance and the court of appeal in this area of ​​law. The CBb is also the judge for disciplinary appeals concerning accountants.
