Drs. JPM (Richard) van Hienen RA will become general director of the National Audit Service at the Ministry of Finance. The Council of Ministers has approved the nomination on the proposal of Minister De Jonge of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment takes effect on April 15, 2024.
Richard van Hienen has been director of the UWV Audit Service since 2019. Before that, he held various management positions at various organizations. He was, among other things, interim department head of Internal Audit at the CAK, senior consultant at interim and consultancy firm Vanberkel Professionals, department head of the Internal Audit Service at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, manager of the Accountants Department of LNV and agricultural entrepreneur.
Richard van Hienen is a Registered Accountant and holds a Master of Science in Accountancy from Nyenrode Business University.
This appointment was made through the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service.
