Antwerp drug criminal was wrongfully imprisoned for 216 days: “Justice wants to pay him 41,000 euros in compensation… but he cannot be found”

33-year-old Fidan Jakupi from Borgerhout is allowed to pass the cash register of the Dutch justice system. The court of appeal in Leeuwarden decided this. The Borgerhout resident was wrongly imprisoned for 216 days as a suspect in a fatal robbery in Gees (Drenthe). After his acquittal, he is entitled to 41,000 euros in compensation. Small problem: Fidan Jakupi cannot be found.
