You don’t have to work many hours in showbiz to earn a nice salary, so many people are out to become known and arouse the interest of TV executives. Winter Vol Liefde supporting character Antine Algra also hopes that someone will give her a job, so that she no longer has to go back to her ordinary office job.

Show news

It is therefore not without reason that we see Antine in Shownieuws every now and then to comment on the ins and outs of her ex Mike Hansler and his reality family. “I really like Shownieuws. Not only the program, but especially the people,” she says in the Party.

Antine loves it when the editors call her. “I’ve been there a total of three times now, once last year and now twice in a row. Then I see people with whom I sat at the table before and that immediately feels familiar.”

‘It’s done’

In front of the stage, Antine shouts that she is annoyed that she is still being asked about the Hanslers. “Yes, and that’s why I often say: I don’t even want to talk about it anymore. For me it’s been two years. I’m done with it too.”

She continues: “At the same time, when there is a new season and people ask me to watch or to explain something, I like that. It also keeps me in the picture a bit.”

Media job

And that is what Antine is about: airtime. “I worked for an insurance company and did not want to leave. But the company was taken over and they want to approach certain functions differently. Since October I have been officially redundant and therefore without work. With a good arrangement, you know.”

What’s next? “I would really like to do something in the media, I’m still working on that. If that doesn’t work out, I’ll apply for compliance again. I’m not too concerned about that.”

Ugly things

Antine secretly hopes that Shownieuws will call her for a job. She finds it a pleasant and positive program. “I don’t think ugly things are said either. They put people at the table with different opinions, they sometimes sting a little, and that creates a conversation.”

She concludes: “I also talk a lot, so I fit in quite well, haha.”
