Meerkampster Anouk Vetter took over the lead from Olympic champion Nafissatou Thiam at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, America, after six parts in the heptathlon. The Arnhem winner won the javelin throw with a distance of 58.29 meters. The Belgian Thiam lost her first place with a throw of 53.01.
