The single motherhood is a conscious choice of 38-year-old actress Anouk Maas from Tilburg. She tells RTL Boulevard that. Anouk is very happy with her pregnancy, but also stands for spicy challenges. “I have to deal with that.”
The actress shared in March that she is in happy expectation of her first child. The joy is all the greater because getting pregnant was not self -evident for her.
“I am very lucky. I am really super grateful for my body, that things are going well and that things are growing well. That I have not been nauseous,” says the actress to RTL Boulevard. “Only in the beginning I was quite tired and did I sleep a lot, but I really took my time for that.”
The actress plays in various TV and film productions such as the series Ferocious and the movie In love with Bali. She also shone in musicals like Mamma Mia! The party and the sound of music. Ten years ago she played the role of ‘Belle’ in the fairy tale musical ‘The Beauty and the Beast’.
Anouk said earlier in an Instagram post that it was a special process to get pregnant. The actress now confirms that single motherhood is a conscious choice.
“The steps are also different in that. I notice that society is not fully furnished, so I have to deal with that,” she says frankly.
The actress has a club of women who are gathered around her in the same situation, with whom she can tell her story. “But also for tips and practical things. I’m working on that at the moment.”
Her family and friends also support her in these eventful times. The actress was calculated at the end of the summer. For the rest, she doesn’t reveal anything. “I know the gender, but I’m not going to share that,” says Anouk.
