Another strangulation snake turned up in Hainaut: fire brigade comes to the rescue | Inland

The walkers informed the emergency services about 12.15 pm that they had seen a snake in the chemin d’Ellignies in Frasnes-lez-Anvaing. They also sent pictures of the animal. “We immediately told the witnesses to keep their distance from the animal, which can be dangerous, and not to try to catch it,” said fire chief Eric Stazik, who led the intervention.

At first, firefighters thought it was a python. After an hour of searching, the snake was located and captured. It turned out to be an adult boa constrictor, two meters long. An expert has taken care of the animal and will first check whether it has a chip.
