Lukas Hradecky skipper Bayer Leverkusen is once again one step closer to the Bundesliga championship.

On Sunday, Leverkusen defeated FC Köln 2–0 on their away field and increased their lead at the top of the league to ten points.

The match started disastrously for the home team Köln. German tip Jan Thielmann flew into the shower at the 13th minute of the game.

The visitors’ goal taps were opened in the 38th minute by the winger, who played an amazing season Jeremy Frimpong.

Köln came close to leveling the match early in the second half. Sargis Adamyan got a dangerous spot, but kuti only hit the post.

Leverkusen hit the final nail in the coffin in the second half of the match when the Spanish striker Alejandro Grimaldo succeeded in scoring.

Undermanned Köln did not get the tight phase on at all. It is telling that Hradecky did not make any saves in the match. It was the 11th clean sheet of the season for the Finnish player.

Bayern Munchen, who are in a weak mood, lost to a draw yesterday as a guest of Freiburg. A point loss guaranteed pleases Leverkusen, who have not lost a single time all season.

There are ten rounds left in the Bundesliga. Leverkusen has never celebrated a championship in its nearly 120-year club history.
