Annual turnover increases by 16 percent

The Austrian clothing supplier Wolford AG closed the 2022 financial year with a significant increase in sales. The company, which belongs to the Chinese fashion group Lanvin Group, announced on Friday that the proceeds amounted to 126.6 million euros, an increase of 16 percent compared to 2021.

According to the available, still unaudited figures, sales in the direct-to-consumer business increased by 21 percent and in wholesale by three percent. In the EMEA region, which includes Europe, the Middle East and Africa, total revenues grew by nine percent, and in North America they even increased by 45 percent. In Greater China, on the other hand, “due to the lockdown, there was a 7 percent drop in sales,” according to a statement.

There were no surprises when it came to earnings: “In terms of earnings, the outlook given at the half-year point is confirmed, according to which there will be no improvement in the operating result (EBIT) for the year as a whole,” explained Wolford.
