Iltalehti found out how much Finnish meteorologists known from television earned in 2021.
Many meteorologists have become familiar to Finns from television weather broadcasts. Iltalehti found out what kind of achievements meteorologists have achieved last year.

Known from Yle both as the host of the Half Seven program and as a meteorologist Anniina Valtonen earned 51,611 euros in earnings last year. He had to pay 207 euros in tolls.
In 2020, Valtonen’s earned income reached 48,217 euros.
Meteorologist Seija Paasonen also works at Yle, and his earnings last year were 77,029 euros. He has worked as Yle’s meteorologist since the early 1980s.
In 2020, Paasonen earned 77,579 euros in earned income.

MTV meteorologist Pekka Pouta on the other hand, earned 83,744 euros in earned income last year. Pouda had no capital income.

Familiar from MTV’s weather broadcasts Aleksi Jokela reached an earned income of 75,351 euros last year. He accumulated capital income of 25,928 euros. In addition to his work as a meteorologist, Jokela has been running a company specializing in escape games for years.
In 2020, Jokela earned 78,833 euros in earned income and 52,304 euros in capital income.
Also a meteorologist known from MTV Markus Mäntykannas reached an earned income of 89,281 euros last year. He earned 42,013 in capital income last year.
In 2020, Mäntykannas earned 89,104 euros in earned income and 1,717 euros in capital income.
Meteorologist known from MTV Liisa Rintaniemi earned 75,621 euros in earnings last year.
Rintaniemi’s income from the previous year was 68,982 euros.
Also familiar from MTV broadcasts Mette Mannonen received an earned income of 47,063 euros last year.
In 2020, Mannonen’s bank account increased by 50,408 euros.
A meteorologist known from Yle’s broadcasts Juha Föhr earned 50,664 euros in earnings in 2021. He earned one euro of capital income.
Last year, Föhr received 50,967 euros in earned income.
Also familiar from above Anne Borgström earned 65,453 euros in earnings last year. He accumulated capital income of 9,481 euros.
In 2020, Borgström earned 64,710 euros.
The meteorologist of Yle Kerttu Kotakorpi reached an earned income of 63,435 euros last year. He earned one euro of capital income.
In the previous year, Kotakorpi earned 62,453 euros.
The meteorologist of Yle Matti Huutonen on the other hand, earned 63,332 euros in earned income last year.
In 2020, Huutonen’s account bag grew by 59,012 euros.
Ylen meteorologists too Joonas Koskela reached a comfortable income in 2021. He earned 56,143 euros in earned income and 56,143 euros in capital income.
