A weightlifter Anni Vuohijoken autumn has been full of difficulties.

Vuohijoki, who is preparing for the World Championships in December, published an article on Instagram in which he is rooting for his situation.

In August, he suffered from back problems, and after that other problems started piling up.

– The rapture has been overnight. I can’t get the positions to work, and I’m afraid of pain and I don’t finish the lift. Even if it doesn’t even hurt. It’s incredibly numbing to struggle day after day with 80 kilos, when you know the potential is moving somewhere else, Vuohijoki pours out.

– The stress made weight loss for the competition limit a pain, and I have never been so uncertain when heading towards a value competition, even though I have been a big competition lifter my whole career and set more than 90 percent of my records on the value competition stages.

Vuohijoki is afraid that he will have to shift his gaze from the World Championships in December to the European Championships in April.

Suomalaistahtih decided to attend a lower back and shoulder rehabilitation seminar to find a solution to his ailments. However, the trip to Jyväskylä also brought conflicting feelings to the surface.

– When I had to inject the painkillers myself during the trip, I started thinking about whether this makes sense. But the number of interrupted workouts due to pain is close to zero and most importantly, lifting is fun again, he concluded his post.

Vuohijoki says that despite everything, he plans to be in the best shape of his life at the European Championships in Armenia in April.
