After months of campaigning, government officials have managed to secure a salary increase of 2.7 percent plus a one-off payment of between 1,000 and 1,400 euros. No zero as agreed, but a significant amount extra. If I do the math on my sleeve, this salary increase and one-off benefit will cost us more than half a billion euros, money that we will have to get from somewhere else.
