With the title Shooting Star, 29-year-old Van Vliet is one of the ten great young European film talents. These are chosen annually by an international jury of experts. The ten participate in a special program where they will have the opportunity to meet leading international casting agents, producers and filmmakers and to build a wide network.
Van Vliet plays the leading role in the series ANNE+† She was also closely involved in its development. The series has also been available on Netflix since March last year. A sequel was released in the form of a film on October 14, which has been available worldwide on the streaming service since last week.
Van Vliet is not the first Dutchman to be a Shooting Star in Berlin. Talents such as Martijn Lakemeier, Bilal Wahib, Hannah Hoekstra, Abbey Hoes, Jonas Smulders and Marwan Kenzari preceded her.
