The Dutch Minister of Justice and Migration, David van Weel (VVD), calls on countrymen not to carry out border controls themselves. “I understand the frustration, but I really call this group not to do this and to stop,” he says through a spokesperson. “Let the police and Marechaussee do their work and stick to the law.”
