Angela de Jong: ‘I’m starting to seriously worry whether farmer Bernice will succeed’ | Show

Podcast BZV CaféThe first sleepless night of the sleepover week farmer seeks wife is done. The five farmers each try in their own way to get to know their love candidates better, but this does not go smoothly on every farm. “It is striking that they do not ask any questions and show little interest in the background of their guests,” says Angela de Jong.

In the podcast AD BZV Café the TV columnist discusses the latest developments in the foreign edition of farmer seeks wife. In Slovakia we heard houseguest Robin say about farmer Richard that ‘they still have to find each other’. “He hasn’t asked me much yet.” Also in Sweden, a guest (Yorick) said he “still misses the depth.”

“I’m really starting to worry about Bernice,” says Angela de Jong. “Yorick said that he wants to pray. That is a nice opening to talk about faith, about which Bernice herself has a strong opinion. But she doesn’t say anything. Only: ‘shit, nail broken’. Her childish reaction makes me doubt whether she will succeed.”

At Claudia’s in Normandy, deeper conversations arose during dinner when Paul, who has just started a coaching practice himself, asked about the deceased husband of the 57-year-old dairy farmer. And we also saw emotions emerge in Denmark. “When you are alone for such a time, you wonder if it is still possible,” the candid Ellen told Haico. “That was quite a thing.”
