Angela de Jong tackles John van den Heuvel hard in her column. She thinks it’s outrageous that he played hard in RTL Boulevard yesterday victim blaming did by making Shima Kaes black.
After all the scandals about transgressive behavior Angela de Jong thought that we learned one thing together: victimization blaming is not okay. She was therefore stunned when she saw John van den Heuvel at the desk of RTL Boulevard yesterday ranting against Shima Kaes, the lady who, according to herself, was badly mistreated by Johnny de Mol.
John goes wild
John really went wild at the desk about Shima’s leaked tax return, which contains horrific details. Although the crime journalist thinks it is ‘quite serious and intense if you read it like that’, he was especially loose about the fact that the report was leaked. That’s Shima’s job, he muttered. “I don’t think we’re completely retarded with each other?”
According to John, ‘that lady’ might be ‘so vindictive that she thinks: I don’t care about the whole investigation, I’ll pillory him for a while’. He speaks of ‘cherry picking’. “If you let things leak out very selectively, just to damage…”
Angela critical
Angela finds it especially very selective that RTL Boulevard did not remind the viewer that John has been in the De Mol camp since the beginning of this case. After all, it was John who was engaged by the De Mol family a year and a half ago to publish their side of the story. He was even called their ‘ errand boy ‘ because of this.
John is therefore biased, Angela emphasizes. Just as Anouk Smulders was in the Borsato case and Bram Moszkowicz in the Lil Kleine case, she continues. “He spoke of ‘sand pole’ and that exculpatory passages for Johnny might have been left out. I didn’t know what I was hearing,” writes the opinion diva in her AD column†
Sad
It’s sad that even a renowned journalist like John is guided by favoritism, Angela thinks. “Didn’t that same Van den Heuvel revealed that Marco Borsato had stroked a minor between her legs without a thorough police investigation being the basis? And where were the exculpatory passages?”
“It made me sad. You now expect from Shownieuws and Johan Derksen that they are in favor of their employer’s son (which was not too bad for me on Wednesday, by the way), but from someone like John van den Heuvel? He should know that everyone is innocent until proven otherwise, including the alleged victim.”
At the table at VI
Normally Johan is always very deep in the camp of the De Mol family, but there seems to be a trend break. Yesterday in Today Inside he was the first at the table to argue for a provisional TV exit from Johnny.
