The Japanese sporting goods manufacturer Asics has Andreas Moll for the Vice President of Category for the EMEA region.

In its new role, Moll will manage marketing, merchandising and the company’s product strategy in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as ASICS announced on Tuesday. He will be responsible for continuous growth in the areas of performance running, sports style and core performance sport, such as tennis and indoor. He succeeds Gary Rauber, who has been appointed the company Global Head of Marketing.

With Moll, ASICS relies on internal transportation. He came to Asics as a merchandise manager for Footwear and has held various positions since then. Most recently, he worked as a category Director of Running and played a crucial role in optimizing running product portfolio and increasing the brand presence throughout Europe. Before his time at the Japanese sporting goods manufacturer, he worked at Puma in Herzogenaurach and the Amer Sports Corporation in Germany.

“Andi has made a significant contribution to the growth of Asics in our region since he came to Asics in 2012,” said Carsten Unlockaun, CEO of Asics EMEA. “He has an impressive track record and a deep understanding of our industry. I am very pleased that Andi takes on this important role and continues to drive the profitable growth of Asics. “
