In the video, that’s the same Andrea Delogu she shared on her Instagram profile, with her voice inevitably broken by emotion, the presenter addressed the audience directly: “Today I want to share my story with you. There are moments in life in which everything stops and others in which with great effort and with great love you choose to start again”. Delogu then went into detail about the terrible loss that shocked her family: “Our lives stopped. I needed silence because finding the words to tell what happened is extremely difficult. I lost my brother Evan in an accident, he was only 18 years old and he was a boy full of life, dreams and the light of someone who is ready to embrace the world, the future like all boys of his age”.

Trying to hold back tears, Andrea Delogu at the opening of the episode of The Magic Door on Rai 2, he spoke about the pain he is experiencing: “It accompanies my every breath, but it is something I will have to learn to live with. My family and I must be able to transform this pain into love for life, because that is what, united, we owe Evan”. The presenter then went on to thank everyone who was close to her and also Rai: “I want to deeply thank those who understood my need to stop. Thanks to Rai for giving me the time to take care of my loved ones, for not putting pressure on me but only making me feel closeness and respect. Now on behalf of myself and my family I want to thank you all, for the empathy and sincere affection that Evan and we have received. Your love, I assure you, helped us not to fall”. Immediately after the message a song began unedited episode of the program but recorded before the tragedy.

Next Saturday Andrea Delogu will also return to Dancing with the Starsafter missing two episodes of the program. Milly Carlucci, together with the dancer Nikita Perotti who supported Delogu in his experience in the broadcast, announced during the last episode that Andrea will return on November 15th and will face a three-way playoff with Filippo Magnini and Marcella Bella (fewer votes than last week) to be able to get back into the race. The presenter’s father, Walter Delogu, said in recent days that he had pushed his daughter to return to work: “If I saw her still this void would be even bigger. Evan was her biggest fan”.
