André Hazes jr. After the premiere of his Geer & Goor-like Show with Mart Hoogkamer, gets a big thump from MediaColumnist Mark Koster. “It’s a sad tragicomedy,” he sniffs in the newspaper.

The reality programs of Gerard Joling and Gordon were very popular for years and reached cult status at some point. The gentlemen will never come together again, but there has never been a successor. Until now, because Yesterday André Hazes Jr. and Mart Hoogkamer started your service with the similar program.

Artificial

The result? A very bad review by Mark Koster, the MediaColumnist of De Telegraaf. “Whoever sees the first episode, unfortunately has to conclude that they are not so witty, not as empathetic, and are not as well attuned to each other as the two Gs,” he writes in the newspaper.

André and Mart had to organize a wedding during the first episode. They did that in a very artificial way, says Mark. “You see the drawing table through the show, with a sleep scene between the two gentlemen who looks directly copied from Geer & Goor.”

Own status

André and Mart especially like themselves, Marks Mark. “In the end, they are mainly concerned with their own status. (…) It is the egocentrism of the new generation of folk singers. A menstype that likes to be worshiped and lives in a hedge with Jaknikkers.”

According to him, the gentlemen also involved many things in themselves. “It seemed earlier that the two were getting married, they were so happy with themselves and each other.”

Score

How did the program score? Tina Nijkamp knows that again. She writes on her analysis canal: “Hazes and Hoogkamer are not yet Geer and Goor in terms of viewing figures. A lot of promotion, but not in the top 10.”

“It also scores about 100 to 150 thousand viewers less than the Meilandjes on this lock in recent weeks. They are in sixteen with 598 thousand viewers and 14.5 percent market share in the commercial target group 25-54 years.”
