André Hazes Jr. and Monique Westenberg have moved somewhat nervously through London in recent days. “We carried our bags really close to us,” she says.

Saturday was a huge disaster day in the lives of André Hazes Jr. and Monique Westenberg. Everything that could go wrong with their travel day to London went wrong and to make matters worse, her phone was stolen in the evening, while they were standing in front of a large musical theater. London is notorious for high rates of phone theft.

‘We didn’t dare’

André and Monique went to the Apple Store on Sunday to buy a new phone, but in the end there was little time left to take all kinds of Instagram-worthy photos, because they are already on their way to the Netherlands.

It’s quiet on their Instas. Monique explains: “After my phone was stolen, we no longer dared to take our phones out of our bags and carried them close to us. So few photos of our trip unfortunately. But I enjoyed it very much. We walked a lot, didn’t actually buy anything and ate a lot as always!”

Borough Market

Only a few photos from the London trip have appeared on Monique’s Insta, including one of them in the taxi and one of them visiting the touristy Borough Market. “Dré had found another TikTok thing to eat. Meine Gute, that was soooo delicious!!!,” she writes.

They are now on their way back to the Netherlands. “Heading back home.”

Rachel Hazes has denied all involvement in the London drama.
