And LINDA. take over!’

Katja Schuurman finds the method of the magazine Story objectionable. The actress speaks of a ‘k*tblad’. “And the LINDA. just takes it all over blindly,” she says.

A few weeks ago, 47-year-old Katja Schuurman and Frédérique Spigt recorded a fun video for their joint podcast about tidying up. It shows how the actress throws away her wedding dress (see below). It turned out that it had been modified by vermin in the attic.

Dress in the attic

The Story turned that into a juicy article. In the penultimate edition, her controversial ex-husband Thijs Römer featured prominently on the cover and one of the subtitles read: ‘Ex Katja Schuurman dumps ‘their’ wedding dress in the garbage!’

The magazine: “When Katja and Thijs bought her current farm in Uitdam in 2007 for 1.1 million euros, she thought she put the dress away properly. Even after her divorce from Thijs in early 2015, she left the dress in the attic.”

In the click

Now, seven years later, it turns out that wedding dress was not safely there. Katja discovered during the recording of her podcast that the dress was covered in shit, according to Story. The magazine quotes: “Oh no! This was in a plastic bag, but mice all ate from it. How gross is this. That wedding dress really needs to go. This is really gross.”

According to the Story, this shows ‘that Katja really wants nothing more to do with Thijs’.

“K*tblad!”

Katja is sick of it, she says in the latest episode of her podcast. “Then also on a cover of some k*tblad: ‘Katja has really had it with Thijs, she even throws away the wedding dress!’ It doesn’t matter if it’s true!”

Moreover, she didn’t even really throw that dress away, says Katja. “No, I took it out, also because Sammie wanted it. But what I’m talking about: it’s completely irrelevant whether it’s true or not. It’s gossip and backbiting.”

1.1 million

Katja is most surprised that various show media wrote that the dress cost 1.1 million euros, while the Story reported that her farm (!) where that dress was in the attic cost 1.1 million euros. ‘Katja Schuurman dumps wedding dress worth more than a million euros’, headlined the LINDA, for example.

The LINDA. has changed that headline, but it still says in it article: “There were also all kinds of excrement on the dress that cost more than a million euros.” And Show news: “After the divorce, Katja decided to keep the dress, which cost 1.1 million, in the attic…”

unquestioningly

What stupidity, says Katja. “The LINDA., huh? He also takes over without hesitation. That wedding dress that we got rid of, it said: ‘She throws away a dress worth 1.1 million euros.’ 1.1 million, huh? Are there dresses worth 1.1 million euros at all? Of course it isn’t! It was 10,000 euros. That saves quite a bit.”

She continues: “1.1 million euros was on all sites. So no one is thinking. Imagine if that dress was 1.1 million… I’m not going to throw 1.1 million in the bin, am I?! There are people who really don’t think, because I’ve made nice money in my life, but 1.1 million for a dress is really big. Plus, why wouldn’t I sell it?”

“Just mindless!”, she says in conclusion.
