Anarkia Tropical—PLANET*A

Anarkia Tropikal was born in Santiago, Chile, in 2005. Today it is said that they were the first to merge cumbia with punk. Well, the band has a slightly different take on that and doesn’t want to claim that title for themselves. The tropicalists mix Afro-American sounds like the different cumbia rhythms, ska, dub, chicha and salsa with basics like punk, hardcore, thrash metal, psytrance, drum and bass, new wave and rap. The result is an inferno of pure hot energy, yet accessible to a wide audience! A band full of power, which sees celebration and social commitment as its essence and successfully spreads these components from the stages to the masses.
