Simen Krüger is falling from the Norwegian Olympic team.
Norway, who won a personal Olympic victory and two personal world championships in his skiing career Simen Krüger32, is about to drop out of the fjord’s Olympic team.
– I would be lying if I claimed otherwise. You could say I’m worried. The situation is really tough, Krüger commented.
The world’s best Wassberg technique player fell ill before the Ruka World Cup at the end of November.
– My health is good now. But I haven’t been in good scoring shape yet. I hope I can get better results during this Tour.
The man from Vuonoma was 94th in the toxic free sprint at the Tour, 31st in Monday’s second stage of the 10-kilometer traditional style split start, and 24th in the free 5-kilometer mass start on Wednesday.
– The second stage was a really big disappointment for me. I had a bad start on Wednesday. I tried to find my way up, but there was no room. Hopefully this was the first and last such competition.

Norway has so far named five men to the Olympic team: Johannes Klæbon, By Martin Nyengeti, By Erik Valnes, Harald Amundsen and by Einar Hedegart.
There are only two tickets left, unless the world’s greatest ski resort gets one extra seat. It would require that a country developing cross-country skiing leaves its Olympic place unused.
If there are two spots left in the division, one of them goes to the sprint skier. In practice, Krüger is therefore fighting for one plot of land, among other things Mattis Stenshagen’s, by Emil Iversen and by Jan Thomas Jensen with.
– I have been training well and I hope that the results will show up soon.
At the Tour de Ski, Krüger has two races to show: Thursday’s 20-kilometer traditional pursuit and Sunday’s final climb. The latter event belongs to the man’s core area of expertise.
– It is difficult to compete against guys who already have wins and podium places in this season’s World Cup.
The final deadline for Olympic displays is the country’s championships on January 14-18, 2026.
– I have to win the Norwegian championships to get to the Olympics.
The Norwegian championships held in Steinkjer have two Olympic races: the free 10 km intermediate start and the 10+10 km combined competition.
