Korfball club Blauw-Wit has added Niels Stuurstraat to its selection for next season. The Rotterdammer comes over from the big leaguer Nieuwerkerk.
The 23-year-old korfball player played for five years in the first of Nieuwerkerk. With that club he made it to the play-offs for qualification for the Korfbal League. Due to the corona crisis, those matches were never played.
Stuurstraat is looking forward to his debut at the highest level. “My goal is to be able to measure myself against the players of Korfbal League level and to add something to the selection of Blauw-Wit.”
Last season, the team from Amsterdam secured another season in the Korfbal League via the relegation pool. The North Holland clubs Koog Zaandijk and Groen Geel are also active in the premier division of korfball.
