A few years ago, Coos could still be found on the athletics track as a talented runner. She did especially well on the sprint distances. She has now stopped doing that completely to focus entirely on music.
“What I have learned from athletics is discipline,” says Coos. “The music world is a tough world and I have learned to seriously pursue my dream, otherwise you won’t get there.”
‘Narrative album’
A musical hero of Coos is Phoebe Bridgers (also known with her band Boygenius). Coos’ sound certainly resembles the sound of this indie pop star. “Her album Punisher is brilliant. A film always plays in my head when I listen to it,” says Coos. “I hope to one day make a beautiful narrative album myself.”
