The former 007 star Daniel Craig commented on the takeover of the James Bond franchise.
On Thursday (February 20), producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli announced that they want to withdraw from the creative process in future James Bond films. They give control of the film series to the Amazon MGM Studios. The end of an era, at least for the Broccoli family who had been responsible for 60 years. Now Daniel Craig has also commented on the latest developments.
An official announcement to the next James Bond film is still pending-“No Time to Die” from 2021, Daniel Craig’s saying goodbye to the agent role. The agreement of the parties involved stipulates that one will share the rights to intellectual property. However, the creative page will be taken over by the Amazon MGM Studios in the future. Amazon took over the rights to the James Bond franchise in 2021 by buying the Studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). In the course of the takeover, Amazon received access to the previous films and the company can control the sales of future films – but the company has not yet had the creative management.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been one of the favorites for the coveted role since Daniel Craig’s resignation. Last year it was reported that the role had already been offered. So far, however, the actor has given questions, including on the red carpet for the action comedy “The Fall Guy”.
