Inter Miami could increasingly become a revival club of former La Liga stars. After Lionel Messi (36) and Sergio Busquets (34), there is now speculation about a possible change from former Barcelona colleague Jordi Alba (34). The negotiations are “well advanced”, reported the Spanish newspaper “Sport” on Sunday.
However, there was no official confirmation either on the US club’s website or on that of Major League Soccer (MLS). The changes from Messi and Busquets to the current bottom of the table in the Eastern Conference, which are already considered certain, have not yet been confirmed either. Messi himself recently announced that he would play in Miami in the future.
According to “Sport”, the club, of which David Beckham is a co-owner, is also currently negotiating with Sergio Ramos (37). The Spanish defender’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired at the end of June. According to unconfirmed media reports, he had tried in vain to return to his hometown club, Sevilla FC. Other media wrote that he would go to Saudi Arabia like the Portuguese Ronaldo.
