Are you also enjoying the sun? Park those spring jitters for a while, because we really have to believe it: it’s going to snow again. It will be a bit softer in the coming days, but after the weekend king winter will arrive.
A stream of cold air will approach from the Arctic early next week. “It comes from across the sea and warms up a bit there, but it is certainly cold enough for winter showers, with hail and wet snow,” says Wouter van Bernebeek of Weerplaza on Thursday morning in the radio program Wakker!.
Those showers mainly fall at night and therefore the chance of real snow is high, according to Van Bernebeek. For example, there is a twenty percent chance of a snow cover of three centimeters on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Smooth on the road
The temperature during the day on Monday and Tuesday is around three or four degrees. In the nights it is below zero and therefore the chance of slippery roads in the morning is high. The meteorological spring may have started, but we have to wait a little longer for real spring weather.
