      German trio

Among other things, three Germans want to take part in the competition. There is Simon Jocher (start number 26), fifth in the 2021 World Cup and German champion in the combination. Back in 2013, Romed Baumann (38) won bronze at the World Championships in the super combination (downhill and slalom) as an ÖSV driver. The third in the group is Andreas Sander (53), most recently Super-G fourth in Cortina.

      Three Valleys

The 47th Alpine Ski World Championships started yesterday. This will be held in Courchevel and Méribel in the French Alps. The two winter sports resorts in the Savoy belong to the Trois Vallées ski area. Today it’s the men’s turn with the traditional, but at the same time threatened with extinction competition. The combination experiences a certain rebellion, because there are at least 54 athletes at the start. The only question that remains is how many of them use the Super G as a training run and later skip the slalom.
