Holdener leads the Swiss team

Wendy Holdener (start number 7) in particular has good chances for the podium among the Swiss. The 29-year-old finally untied the knot this season, managed her first ever slalom victory and moved into the top three the day before. Also for Michelle Gisin (14) and Camille Rast (20) at least a few World Cup points should be possible. In addition, Aline Danioth (28), Elena Stoffel (29), Melanie Meillard (32) and Nicole Good (33) complete the squad of seven from the Alpine republic.

ÖSV team fights for the connection

As is well known, the technical team of the Austrian Ski Association is not experiencing the best of times at the moment. At yesterday’s first slalom in Spindlermühle, however, the top ten result of Franziska Gritsch (start number 19) was a little encouraging, and Katharina Truppe (10) was not far from a similar result. On the other hand, Katharina Liensberger (4) and Katharina Huber (25) are still looking for their form in recent years. In addition, Marie Therese Sporer (37) with a higher number is allowed to play a second time today.

Can Dürr get his first win?

Next attempt by Lena Dürr (car number 5): The 31-year-old is still waiting for her first victory in the special slalom and only had to admit defeat to the high-flyer Mikaela Shiffrin yesterday. In second place, the native of Munich was on the podium for the third time this winter. In addition, Emma Aicher (25), Jessica Hilzinger (26) and Andrea Filser (34) start for the colors of the German Ski Association and initially fight for entry into the second round.
