Lara Gut-Behrami faces an uncertain future after a training accident. It is still unclear what consequences the incident could have on her final months of competition.

Olympic ski champion Lara Gut-Behrami fell during Super-G training in Colorado and injured her left knee. According to the Swiss Ski Association Swiss Ski, an exact diagnosis is still pending.

The 34-year-old will now return to Switzerland to undergo further examinations. Only then can the extent of the injury be determined.

Several media outlets report that Gut-Behrami may have suffered a concussion. In addition, according to “Blick” and “SRF”, a cruciate ligament tear and meniscus damage cannot be ruled out.

If these reports turn out to be true, Gut-Behrami could face an early end to her career. Most recently, she had always emphasized that the season with the Winter Olympics in Italy in February would be her last.
