Alphonso Davies before a change? Transfer reportedly “almost perfect”

FC Bayern is currently without Alphonso Davies due to an injury. But his absence could become permanent from summer onwards.

Just not a “new Alaba case”

Davies’ contract expires in the summer of 2025. In order to generate a transfer fee, Bayern will probably have to sell him after the current season, assuming an extension is ruled out. According to “AS”, Real has to pay 40 million euros for Davies, Bayern actually wanted 70 million euros. Given the price difference, the phrase “almost perfect” may be a bit of a stretch.

But: FC Bayern will want to prevent a “new Alaba case” at all costs, the paper assures. The Austrian David Alaba moved to Real for free in the summer of 2021 after his contract in Munich ended.

The rival paper “Marca”, which, like “AS”, has Davies on page one on Tuesday, reports similarly. “The defender is clear about his future and dreams of playing in Madrid,” says the usually very well-informed newspaper. It is said that negotiations between the clubs will begin in the next few days.

Due to a strained medial ligament in his knee, Davies has had to miss FC Bayern since the beginning of the month. Since Sunday he has been involved in training again.
