Marianela Mirra and José Alperovich They decided to cancel the wedding celebration in the Puerto Madero complex, where the former governor is serving house arrest after the conviction for sexual abuse against his niece. This Thursday, November 27, was the date for the wedding, which would take place without guests due to “fear of overexposure” and a possible complication in the judicial situation of the former president of Tucumán.
Far from organizing a crowded event, the couple had planned a private and small ceremony for 20 guests, with a gastronomic service that was around 200,000 pesos per person. Finally, the protagonists decided to postpone the invitations and catering. Although rumors of romance date back more than a decade, when it was discovered that the model was paid as contracted staff of the Tucumán Parliament, the romantic link between Alperovich and Mirra became public on April 1 of this year, when the media star published some messages on her Instagram confirming her courtship. “I’m going to visit my partner because I love him. And I believe in him yesterday, today and always, to the death,” she wrote in a story that was quickly spread by national media.
Shortly after, Mirra shared images and stories on social networks that showed an intimate bond, including a photo in which she appears next to the Peronist leader in a bed, which fueled the controversy and forced the former reality show figure to respond to journalists and followers. The posts and visits to the prison unit or to the place where Alperovich was kept, under house arrest, were recorded by different portals.
The judicial background is key to understanding why the relationship generated such a stir. The former national senator was tried and convicted of aggravated sexual abuse in June 2024. A court found him responsible for multiple acts against his niece who worked as his secretary and he was sentenced to 16 years in prison and disqualified from holding public office.
At the beginning of November, different media reported that the couple had set a date for their wedding.
