Almost half of electro devices within 3 years, Minister wants a longer warranty: “Consumer must be better protected”

You will often see it: your electric toothbrush, hair style pang – or worse: your microwave or dishwasher – is just out of warranty and give it up. “Almost one in two electro devices will go within three years.” The new Minister of Consumer Protection Rob Beenders (Vooruit) wants to help this frustration out of the world by expanding the legal guarantee throughout Europe from two to three years.
