Allbirds Promotes Two Executives – New Roles for Co-CEO Brown

The US shoe and apparel supplier Allbirds Inc. has expanded the areas of responsibility of two executives. As the company announced on Thursday, Kate Ridley has been promoted to Chief Brand and Product Officer. Previously, the former Adidas executive, who joined Allbirds earlier this year, only held the post of chief brand officer.

“We have long wanted to bring brand and product together under one leadership and are pleased to have found this leader in Kate Ridley,” said co-CEO Joey Zwillinger in a statement.

Chief Technology Officer Benny Joseph was also given an additional area of responsibility: in addition to his previous role, he assumed the newly created position of Chief Culture Officer.

Ridley’s promotion saw the role of Tim Brown, the company’s second co-CEO, change to lead Allbirds’ Future team, responsible for innovation and sustainability. In addition, Brown will “spend more time externally communicating and building partnerships to reinforce Allbirds’ brand message and position as an industry leader in sustainability,” the company said.
