All new cars sold in the US state of California from 2035 onwards must be emission-free. Legislators in the state voted Thursday, as expected, in favor of the plan introduced as early as 2020 by Governor Gavin Newsom, which speaks of “the beginning of the end for the traditional internal combustion engine.”
