The man who was injured has also been arrested during the investigation into the shooting on the Kennemersingel in Alkmaar. It concerns a 30-year-old man from Castricum. The suspected shooter, a man (35) from the same municipality, was arrested yesterday afternoon in Heiloo.
The incident in Alkmaar happened yesterday around 2:15 p.m. near the Kennemersingel. According to eyewitnesses it was the shooting on Wilhelminalaanclose to the hospital and the Singelgarage.
A 30-year-old man from Castricum was injured, but was able to go to the hospital on his own. “After he was treated for his injuries there, he was arrested,” the police said.
Circumstance unknown
The other suspect fled after the shooting, but was caught near Stationsplein in Heiloo. Nothing can yet be said about the circumstances, the spokesperson reports. “The investigation is still in full swing. We hope that witnesses will come forward.”
