Activities for the 120th anniversary of the establishment of Galatasaray Sports Club by Mr. Ali Sami Yen and his friends have started. Within the scope of the events, the first visit was to the grave of Ali Sami Yen, the founder of Galatasaray Sports Club, in Feriköy. Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek, Galatasaray Council President Aykutalp Derkan and board members attended the visit.
Making a statement to the press here, President Dursun Özbek said that they started the 120th anniversary celebrations of the yellow-red club by visiting the grave of Ali Sami Yen and said, “Then we visited Süleyman Seba. He is one of our elders who served sports. It is also the anniversary of the establishment of Galatasaray Sports Club. October 11 is also an important day. Our daughters are our mothers in the future, the ones who raise and raise the society. They are Happy birthday too. From now on, we will lay a wreath at the Atatürk Monument in Taksim. From there, our celebrations at the school will continue. Currently, my friends and I are doing our best to take Galatasaray, a global brand that has been growing for 120 years, even higher. This is our duty. We had a monument opening yesterday. We want to carry Galatasaray to better days. “I wish this founding day a happy day to all Galatasaray fans and the Turkish sports community,” he said.
Later, the grave of Beşiktaş Honorary President Süleyman Seba, located in the same cemetery, was also visited.
