Alfa Romeo has presented its bet for the 2022 Formula 1 season, the C42, a car that with the new regulations they hope to do battle in a competition that is expected to be more close and even than ever.
The C42 is powered by a Ferrari engine and like the rest of the grid it has been designed in Hinwil, Switzerland with the new ground effect floor, updated aerodynamic package and 18-inch low-profile tyres.
The bodywork is an impressive yet subtle nod to the past, recalling historic designs from years past and the legacy of Alfa Romeo and Sauber Motorsport, in the Hinwil team’s 30th year in Formula One.
The Alfa Romeo team also debuts pilots, the Finn Valtteri Bottas and the only rookie on the grid, the Chinese zhou Guanyu.
