The focus of current rumors primarily revolves around the camera. Several leaks suggest a significant upgrade for the Pro models. Simultaneously, purported images of the device have sparked debate as not all of them may be genuine leaks.
Pro Models Could Receive a Major Camera Upgrade
According to reliable leaker Setsuna Digital, Apple is set to significantly overhaul the main camera of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Comparison images of dummies already indicate a noticeably thicker camera module than its predecessors. The overall housing may also see an increase in thickness.
Sources from Apple’s supply chain suggest that the back may be around 2 millimeters thicker, potentially due to a new variable aperture that will allow greater control over depth of field and light entry. Additionally, speculation surrounds a new 48-megapixel sensor. However, it remains uncertain whether Apple plans to incorporate a larger image sensor for the main camera. No official confirmation has been made by the company regarding any of this information.
