Actor Alec Baldwin has been charged with manslaughter, the Santa Fe district attorney tells CNN.
The case will be related in October 2021 Rust– to the shooting accident that happened on the set of the movie, in which the cameraman died Halyna Hutchins.
Baldwin was handling a prop gun that wasn’t supposed to have real bullets. However, the gun went off in the middle of filming.
According to the documents, Baldwin’s “departure from industry standards, practices and protocols directly caused the death of Halyna Hutchins.”
Also the gunman in the movie Hannah Gutierrez-Reed has been charged with manslaughter.
– Today we have taken another important step to secure the justice of Halyna Hutchins, the district attorney says in his statement.
Settlement with the Hutchins family

In October of last year, Baldwin settled the lawsuit with Hutchins’ family.
– We no longer blame Mr. Baldwin. We believe that Halyna’s death was a terrible accident. I am grateful that the film’s production team and the entertainment industry together have shown respect for Halyna’s last work, Hutchins’ widow said.
However, the prosecutor was not satisfied with this, but announced already at that time that he would continue to deal with the case.
