Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. The news ticker on t-online contains all the important reports about the “Rothosen”.
Former HSV professional Albin Ekdal has announced the end of his active professional career. According to consistent media reports, the midfielder’s season in Sweden is over. “There were a few tears,” the 36-year-old is quoted by “HBO Max.” “It’s hard to put it into words. It’s going to take me a long time to process this, but ultimately it all boils down to pride and joy in overcoming all the setbacks I’ve had.”
Ekdal played a total of 57 competitive games for Hamburger SV between 2015 and 2018. In addition to HSV, he was also active in Italy for Sampdoria Jacqueline (126 games), Cagliari Calcio (122 games) and Juventus Turin (4 games). He was most recently under contract in his home country with Djugardens IF, where his career now ends. He was set back by several injuries throughout his career.
With a last-minute goal from Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer, Hamburger SV stopped its downward trend in the Bundesliga against Borussia Dortmund. After three recent defeats, the newcomer fought to a flattering 1-1 (0-0) draw against the favorites in the sold-out Volksparkstadion in stoppage time.
The oppressively superior guests gave up the victory they had already believed to be certain and suffered another setback three days after the massive 4-1 defeat in the Champions League against Manchester City. Carney Chukwuemeka (64th minute) gave BVB the lead in front of 57,000 spectators, and HSV equalized in the seventh minute of added time.
The HSV lantern parade is scheduled to take place in the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg on November 23rd. The HSV Kids Club has announced that the event will be organized exclusively for members and their families.
The procession will begin at 4 p.m. on the west plaza of the stadium. Participants can look forward to hands-on activities. Dino Hermann, the HSV mascot, will be there and present a story about the lantern running.
The parade will be musically accompanied by the show music corps AHOY. According to the HSV Kids Club, all members received an email in advance with a registration link. If you haven’t received an email, you can contact [email protected].
The German Football League (DFL) has scheduled the Bundesliga match days 13 to 19 exactly. The game plan published on Wednesday shows: Hamburger SV will play in the city derby against FC St. Pauli on a Friday evening. The duel between the Hamburg rivals will take place on January 23, 2026. The northern derby against Werder Bremen has also been set at a precise time. All new appointments at a glance:
