Alberto Stegeman of the tube? ‘SBS 6 intervenes after a disastrous weekend’

SBS 6 has had a disastrous weekend. The station is nothing at all without the Meilandjes and the men of VI. “They will have an extensive meeting at Talpa today.”

Talpa’s flagship is very disappointing. SBS 6 has had a disastrous weekend with abominably low viewing figures: from Snelle’s I Want Your Song (231 thousand) and Gordon’s 5 against 5 (223 thousand) on Friday to the season premiere of the Wendy van Dijk show Wie Kent Nederland (390). thousand) on Saturday.

Alberto from the tube?

On Sunday it was again a trump card: the brand new Winston Gerschtanowitz show Het Beste Antwoord this time stuck at 244 thousand viewers (5.5 percent), after which Stegeman op de Bres did not go further than 198 thousand viewers (5.1 percent). “It seems obvious to me that they will have extensive meetings at Talpa today,” says former SBS 6 boss Tina Nijkamp.

There are now ‘too many’ new programs at the weekend that score poorly, also in the commercial target group, according to Tina. “Winston’s quiz will remain due to sponsorship of the Postcode Lottery, but I suspect that they may remove the repetitions with Alberto Stegeman from the schedule.”

‘It doesn’t match!’

Alberto doesn’t match at all with a cheerful quiz as a lead-in, Tina says. “Perhaps on Sunday at 8.30 pm the remaining three episodes of Snelle’s I Want Your Song followed by quiz Winston? As a last-ditch effort to get grades up from both programs? Or I Want Your Song to Saturday 21.30? And 5 to 5 to Sunday?”

I Want Your Song would do a lot better on Saturday in terms of viewing figures, Tina expects. “And that would have a positive effect on the sale of the format abroad. And foreign sales are again important for John de Mol. I wonder if and what they will do. But it seems logical to me.”

Football at the top

The final of the European Championship women’s football, between England and Germany, was the big winner on prime time yesterday with 2.1 million viewers (46 percent) on NPO 1. André Rieu and the Oranjes subsequently attracted 1.3 million viewers (33 percent). .

The other most viewed titles were RTL 4’s Een tegen 50 (572 thousand), Reizen Waes Wereldsteden (497 thousand), Beat the Champions (489 thousand) and Zomergasten (391 thousand).

Viewing figures

Other programs that did not make the top 15 include Shownieuws (419 thousand), vtwonen (304 thousand) and Ivo op Zondag (228 thousand).
