Albert Verlinde has been absent for more than a week at RTL Tonight, while he was announced as one of the most important clarners of the program. “Maybe he is dissatisfied.”
Albert Verlinde would sit at the table two to three times a week at Inside today. At least, he himself announced that before the start of the RTL 4 show. But where is the show connoisseur in the past week? We haven’t seen him sitting that desk for more than a week, says television critic Victor Vlam in a message X.
Where is Albert?
Victor has kept a top twelve of the most booked clients in RTL Tonight and, despite his recent absence, Albert is still at the top with seven performances, followed by Ahmed Aboutaleb (six), Floor Bremer (six), Josine Droogendijk (six), Lale Gül (six) and Twan Huys (five).
He writes: “The absence of Albert Verlinde at RTL Tonight is remarkable. He was last visited last Sunday, while with seven performances he still leads the list of most booked clients.”
Prestige project
It is a suspicious situation, says Victor. “So the most booked clear is not visible for a week. It is hard to believe that he is already taking a holiday in week three of this prestige project.”
He continues: “It is at least possible that he is dissatisfied with the course of the program or regret his switch. On the other hand, it would bear witness to extremely little loyalty. I honestly find it hard to believe.”
Seasoning
Marieke Derksen, the daughter of Johan Derksen, finds it a pity. She writes, also on X: “And to be honest. He was the seasoning. Whether you are once or not. I don’t think it is very important anyway: being agreeing. But daring to say something makes a talk show attractive.”
Victor then: “Totally agree!”
Where is Thomas?
There are also announced clients who have not had a turn at all, says Victor. “Yes. Thomas Erdbrink for example. Geert Jan Hahn has not been visible either.”
What about that? “They are tied to topics that were less in the news in the last few weeks.”
The viewing figures of RTL Tonight are still structurally low. “And that is very worrying,” said Tina Nijkamp earlier today.
