Alba Berlin delivers a disastrous performance against Bologna and collects the highest euro bankruptcy in its history. This also seals the last place in the table in the Euroleague.

Alba Berlin experiences a bitter evening in the Euroleague: in the penultimate home game of the current season, the Bundesliga club is clearly under Virtus Bologna. The team lost to the penultimate of the table in front of 8,397 spectators in their own hall with 64: 108 (33:62). This makes it clear before the last two match days: Alba will again complete the Euroleague as the bottom of the table.

At first it seemed as if Alba could keep up – the game was still balanced at 4: 4. But then the hosts completely lost the thread. Hardly anything was done offensive: three-point throws missed the goal, simple basket gegs were awarded. The defense still worked halfway at the beginning, but Alba was already 15:27 behind after the first quarter.

In the second section, the team then fully collapsed. Bologna now regularly came to simple throws and consistently used the weaknesses of the Berliners. While the guests kept up their hit rate, ball losses and false throws were piled up. A clear class difference was visible at the latest at half -time.

Even after the change of sides, little changed in the picture. Short Berlin phases of the resistance were immediately suffocated in the germ. At the beginning of the last quarter, the gap to 47 points had grown (44:91). In the end it was Alba’s highest defeat in European parquet.
