Ajax misses suspended Devyne Rensch against Fortuna Sittard and Sparta Rotterdam

Ajax defender Devyne Rensch has been suspended for three matches, one of which is conditional. The KNVB punishes the player for the red card he received yesterday in the final phase of the match against FC Utrecht (2-0).

Rensch committed a foul on Sam Lammers, which initially earned him a yellow card. The video referee thought that sanction was too light and called referee Sander van der Eijk to the side, after which a red card followed. Ajax has accepted the suspension. Rensch will therefore miss the home match against Fortuna Sittard on Sunday and will also not be there on March 17 in Rotterdam against Sparta.

Clasie and Peat Cruiser

AZ will face Excelsior next weekend without captain Jordy Clasie. The Haarlemmer received his fifth yellow card against Sparta. Riechedly Bazoer is just returning from a suspension for the Alkmaarders.

At first division team Telstar, Jayden Turfkruier is in the stands because of his fifth yellow card. He will therefore miss Telstar’s away match against FC Dordrecht.
