John Heitinga gave goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros a place in the base. Before that was the defense with Jorthy Mokio, Aaron Bouwman, Youri Baas and Owen Wijndal. In midfield, Kenneth Taylor and Youri reigned behind Steven Berghuis, Davy Klaassen and Raúl Moro. Wout Weghorst was the most advanced striker of Ajax. Brian Brobbey came in for Weghorst in the 63rd minute, but had to go to the side with a foot injury nine minutes before time.
Ajax took the lead in the 29th minute. Taylor completed a wonderful attack over different discs. Five minutes later, Mika Biereth Monaco put back on the same level by completing a cross by Caio Henrique. Takumi Minamino scored in the 65th minute before the Monegaskken. The Japanese hit the goal after an assist from former PSV player Jordan Teze. Substitute Bertrand Traoré equalized for Ajax in the 87th minute.
On Sunday 10 August the new Eredivisie season starts for Ajax. Telstar then comes to the Johan Cruijff Arena. The kick -off in Amsterdam is at 2.30 p.m.
