A disappointing result for Jong Ajax in the last home game of the season. The Amsterdam reserves lost at home against fellow provincial Jong AZ with 1-2. It was also perhaps the last match of trainer Dave Vos as the person in charge at Jong Ajax at Sportpark De Toekomen.
“We are talking and we will see what the right steps are for me and for the club,” said Vos. “I came here to help the club, a little bit to be back at my own club. That was very nice. Everyone has dreams. Now we have to wait and see.”
“I’ve had a great time here the past few months. Working with these talents is just great fun,” said the Amstelvener, who has been at the helm of Jong Ajax since February. Watching the players take their very last step and helping them is a lot of fun to do. It’s always a possibility.”

It is therefore not yet known who will be in front of the group next season with Ajax’s promising team. In the thirteen matches with Vos in the dug-out, Jong Ajax took no less than 21 points. In the 24 games for Vos, under John Heitinga, the team from Amsterdam took 25 points. Jong Ajax closes the season on Friday with an away match against Heracles Almelo, who have already been promoted.
