Ajax Amsterdam can continue to rely on the services of its most valuable professional. The Dutch record champions announced on Tuesday that defender Jorrel Hato (18) had extended his contract early until 2028. Originally, his working paper would have expired next year.
The native of Rotterdam moved to the Ajax youth team in 2018 and made his first-team debut in January 2023. Since then he has been a fixture among the professionals and played 52 games in which he scored one goal and provided three assists. This season he hasn’t missed a single minute and has donned the captain’s armband three times.
